Re: Sir Walter Premium Soft Leaf Buffalo
Dear Dave,
Thank you for your letter back in April. Initially I was concerned with the lawn as patches were appearing during the hot summer days. I called your office and the support offered assisted me in redirecting the water, as lack of water appeared to be the problem. I spent several months taking extreme care to ensure the lawn had sufficient water etc and it all appears to have paid dividends. The lawn now is very low maintenance and by far the "best lawn in the street". Both my neighbours who are building at present nave commented how much they like the lawn and intend to plant the same. I hope they follow through. The initial expense and extra time to ensure the lawn took well has been more than worth it. The lawn is a tremendous product and I recommend it and your organisation to anyone wishing to have the best lawn in the street.

Dear Dave,
It is now just on twelve months since we accepted your expert advice and planted Sir Walter Buffalo. Enclosed are some recent photographs and it is plainly visible for all to see, why we are absolutely ecstatic. We now have a truly magnificent back lawn, of which, we are justifiably proud.
It continues to take an enormous amount of wear and tear as the boys still give it a real hammering; the dead circles from the dog’s urination and the unsightly dead areas in the winter from lack of sun are now all events of the past. It just bounces back without any mollycoddling on our part.
That lush velvet green look in the photo’s lasted throughout the winter. Its last lot of fertiliser was in March. We’re convinced it needs less water and definitely less fertiliser.
Dave, thank you for recommending Sir Walter, your professionalism and expertise is greatly appreciated. There is no way that we would ever entertain a couch based grass again.
Kind Regards
Robin & Anne
PS. the old reel mower no longer needs to be so finely tuned to get that great professional appearance.
"...These new grasses are new forms of buffalo, a grass that has stood the test of time in WA, favoured for its ability to grow in our climate in shade or sun and its above ground runners that make it easy to keep under control.
... One of the new varieties seems to have an edge over the others. Sir Walter is a cultivar that has been selected and developed in Australia. Its proponents claim that it is amongst the greenest of grasses in summer and doesn't go off in winter and that it's hard wearing and will grow in sun or shade. They also claim it is drought tolerant and efficient in its water use.
I recently saw some of this grass in a wheatbelt garden. After laying a lawn at the back the owners had a little turf left over and put it on to patches of yellow sand in the front garden. Then they went away for a while. When I saw it a few weeks later it had spread to double its size. What surprised me was that this growth had taken place during a very hot spell and ...if that is the case, Sir Walter will be made welcome wherever he decides to roll up."

"...The best thing he has EVER had. He takes his shoes off every day to take stroll on his lawn, just marvelous, people have seen him battle to keep a lawn looking half decent for years but this one they are commenting on and wanting to know what it is.
Will be ordering some more from us in the middle of March – absolute rave review.
Said he saw an add for Sir Walter on the back of a bus the other day. It doesnt get any better than this.He agrees whole heartedly!!
What a wrap!! I think he does more on his lawn than just stroll, you had to hear him to believe the level of excitement!!
